Who We Are
DRT Rentals was started in 2017 by Dustin Taylor in Roseville, California. He was running his family trucking business Taylor Heavy Hauling and saw the need for quality construction equipment. He was always fascinated with heavy equipment he started with just a few machines and a single service truck. Since then, he has grown it to a fleet of over 150 machines, 5 service trucks & multiple tractor trailer combinations. DRT known for their unapparelled service & full-service heavy equipment rental company. DRT minimizes down time in the field by providing in house repairs, not relying on a dealer for repairs. DRT also has a fleet of trucks and trailers to deliver equipment out to the customers.
Dustin Taylor – President / Owner
Dusty has been in the industry for over 23 years. He has always had a fascination with the heavy equipment. From a very young age he enjoyed tinkering, building and fixing things. The first machine he purchased was a CAT 623 Water Pull. Dusty enjoys camping and snowmobiling with his family & friends.
Scott Runnels – Vice President of Operations
Scott has been in the industry for over 20 years. He loves the diversity of the job and is willing to help out where ever it’s needed, from sales, to trucking, to working or cleaning equipment. Scott has been helping DRT since it was started in 2017. When he is not working he loves to spend time with his family and friends, camping and playing out doors.
Richard Bell – Shop Supervisor
Richard is the shop supervisor. He has been working in the industry over 25 years. He likes that the technology is always changing and they must evolve with the future and sometimes think outside the box to solve complex problems. His hobbies include riding my dirt bike or taking the family out in the kayak, or just spending some quality time with his better half and little baby girl.
Zach Sweigart – Field Mechanic
Zach has 7 years in the industry working on tractors. He enjoys being outside working, troubleshooting equipment and meeting different customers. His hobbies include camping and fishing.
Nick Cameron – Mechanic & Welder
Nick has 9 years in the industry. He completed the welding program at American River College. He first got into heavy equipment in 2013. He enjoys working at DRT because each day brings new challenges & he is not doing the same thing from day to day. His favorite pastime is riding dirt bikes and hanging out with his 2 boys.
Christina Dominguez – Office Manager
Christina has a background in computer technology she has been in the industry for 5 years. Christina does the billing/invoicing, vehicle registration, annual & oversize permits, among other duties. She prides herself on her positive attitude and enjoys helping people. She loves to ride horses in her spare time and is the Capitan of a Professional Equine Drill Team.
Jason Zimmerman – Mechanic
Jason has been in the industry for 20 plus years. He started as a small vehicle mechanic and worked his way up to big trucks and heavy machinery. He enjoys spending time out doors in his spare time.
Kyle Wood – Equipment Relocation Engineer
Kyle has been in the industry for over 15 years. He started driving a pilot car, and helping with oversize loads. He gained knowledge and got his commercial license. After a few years he gained enough experience to start pulling the 9 axle. In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
Blake Amado – Equipment Relocation Engineer
Blake has always had a love for driving, he started pulling a dry van 3 years ago. Then go into low bedding and pulling 9 axle. He is very happy with his career choice. & he loves everything about this industry. He spends his spare time going off-roading, shooting, and BBQs with family.
